What if I lose the coordinates card or can't remember the 4 digits?
You can get a new coordinates card or check your PAC through the website and app. Go to the "Profile and Security" section.
Why do I need a coordinates card?
For certain transactions we'll ask you for a number from your coordinates card, in addition to the code sent to your phone.
The coordinates card adds another authentication factor to supplement your username and password.
Because this factor changes continuously rather than remaining static like a PIN, it makes it harder for electronic fraudsters (such as phishing attacks) to capture your credentials and carry out fraudulent transactions.
Additionally, a graphical panel is used when coordinates are entered, which prevents the risk of malicious programs capturing information through the keyboard.
I've completed the migration process and downloaded the coordinates card but I can't find it.

Do I get two accounts at Bankinter: a current account and a deposit account?
At Bankinter you have a single current account with two buckets:
1. For the Smart Account, a first bucket for up to €4,000 at 0% AER and a second bucket where we'll pay you 0.7% AER on balances up to €30,000, and 1.11% AER if you meet the conditions (the same ones as with EVO). Interest payments will continue to be made monthly and your money will always be available without penalty.
2. For the Welcome Smart Account, a first bucket for up to €4,000 at 0% AER and a second bucket where we'll pay you 2% AER on balances up to €30,000, without meeting any conditions. Interest payments will continue to be made monthly and your money will always be available without penalty.
With this change, you'll be able to see the status of your accounts at a single glance, avoiding confusion between the two accounts and also eliminating the automatic transfers that are currently made. The system will no longer initiate automatic transfers to the 15-day deposit account when the balance in the current account exceeds €4,000, and nor will it carry out daily transfers triggered by deposits over €10,000 into the current account. Now, transfers will take place on a daily basis.
How has the operation of my Smart Account changed?
The way you draw on the account balance has changed. Here are some examples of the new procedure:
What happens if I deposit €60,000 into my Smart Account or Welcome Smart Account?
At the end of the day, the €60,000 will be divided between the two buckets:
- The first €4,000 will be placed in the first bucket at 0% AER.
- The remaining €56,000 will be placed in the second bucket and, in the case of the Smart Account, we'll pay you 1.10% AER up to €30,000 if you meet the conditions (the same ones you had at EVO) and 0.7% AER up to €30,000 if you don't meet the conditions. In the case of the Welcome Smart Account, we'll pay you 2% AER up to €30,000.
What if I need to transfer €5,000 and I have €1,500 in the first bucket and €34,000 in the second one?
You can make the transfer through your app or online without any problem. The system will first transfer the money from the bucket that doesn't earn interest (€1,500) and then transfer the rest (€3,500) from the second bucket. So you will still have €30,500 in the second bucket, of which €30,000 will continue to earn interest. That's how we ensure that your savings that earn interest remain intact. This is a major difference because at EVO you would withdraw the €5,000 directly from the deposit account, reducing the interest-bearing part to €25,000.
When will I receive interest on my Smart Account?
You will continue to receive interest on your Smart Account each month, and the credit date will now coincide with the day of the month on which you opened the account.
