FAQs
How do I sign up?
You need to be a Bankinter customer to be able to trade with Broker Bankinter. There are three steps in the process:
Request a current account and a securities account (one application for both accounts).
Send us the documentation we request by email.
When the bank has this, it will send you a username and passwords so that you can start using the service.
When can I carry out transactions?
You will be able to carry out transactions using your username and password once the bank has received the documentation and you have an available balance in your account.
What are the costs of opening a securities account?
None, there is no charge for opening a securities account. There are also no maintenance fees; you will only be charged the custody fee for the securities you deposit.
How can I transfer my shares if they are deposited with another entity?
With Bankinter's immediate transfer, all you have to do is tell us which securities you want to transfer and the account where you wish to deposit them.
This type of transfer is available for listed domestic equities with a value of less than 300,506.05 euros.
What is Broker Plus?
This tool is specifically designed for people who trade frequently. It consists of a graphical tool that integrates trades and queries in a single multi-window workspace. This means you can place orders without losing sight of the market.
Broker Plus does not require the installation of any additional software and can also be customised.
What happens if there is a fault with the Internet service?
If the Internet service is down, you can always place your orders through Telephone Banking or our branches.
Can I trade in real time?
Yes, you can trade in real time; this means that the bank processes your orders immediately, except for the Frankfurt, Tokyo and Canada markets. It is important to understand the nature and schedules of the markets to avoid your orders being rejected.
