Pension account terms and conditions
The interest paid into the pension account is 4.94% nominal in the first year (5% AER). During the second year, the nominal interest will be 1.99% (2% AER). The AER has been calculated on the basis that there are no fees with the pension account. The amount resulting from each half-yearly settlement is treated as a capital gain and is therefore subject to the withholding percentage stipulated in the applicable tax regulations.
The maximum daily balance that bears interest cannot exceed €5,000, regardless of whether more than one pension is paid into the account.
The account will start to bear interest as soon as the first pension income is received for an amount equal to or greater than the amount declared on the account application form.
Eligibility for the promotion perks

You must be an individual living in Spain with a monthly pension of least €800, you may not have previously benefited from this remuneration, and you may not have held a salary/pension/business account at Bankinter in the 12 months before opening this new account.

This promotion is not available to Bankinter Group employees and agents.
Pension income is considered valid if it is received by cheque or transfer, but not if it comes from the account holder. Cash income is not taken into account and but the sum of pensions is valid for these purposes.
