What is SEPA?

The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is an area in which the public, companies and other economic agents can make and receive payments in euros with the same terms and conditions, rights and obligations, regardless of where they are. The Single Euro Payments Area comprises the member states of the European Union and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Monaco and San Marino.

I don't work with foreign customers. How does SEPA affect me?

Since SEPA came into being, SEPA instruments have been used for all electronic payments and collections in euros, both national and cross-border.

Can I send direct debits for different countries in the same file?

Yes. As long as they are in euros and are in the SEPA area.

Can I send CORE and B2B direct debits in the same file?

No. You need a different file for each of these.
