What types of funeral insurance can you take out?

• Single premium funeral insurance: this is a policy with a single premium payment, which covers the insured party for life. There is no need for periodic check-ups or completing health questionnaires. This type of policy is only available to people between the ages of 55 and 110.
• Always funeral insurance: recommended for people under 70 years of age. This is a traditional funeral insurance policy that includes a very useful catalogue of services for use in life, such as: medical telephone consultations, travel assistance, telephone consultations on nutrition, personal help at home, etc.
• Foreign residents' funeral insurance: this is for non-Spaniards who reside in Spain but want to be buried in their country of origin, as indicated in the policy. This also covers repatriation expenses. This policy is available to foreign residents until the age of 65.
