Can I name beneficiaries for my life insurance policy?

Yes, you can designate as many beneficiaries as you wish. And you can change them at any time by writing to the insurance company.

The designation of beneficiaries can be express or nominal (identified by their first and last names) or generic (with no personal identification). Examples:

  • Legal heirs.
  • Standard (spouse, children, parents and legal heirs).
  • The insured person's spouse or, in the absence thereof, children.
  • The insured person's children.
  • The insured person's parents.
  • Spouse not legally separated.
  • Spouse not legally separated or children.
