BESPOKE CURRENCY STRUCTURES
A bespoke solution for your currency trading structures.
That's what we offer: a wide range of currency trading structures to minimise the consequences of exchange rate fluctuations in commercial transactions, but tailored specifically to your company's needs.
Two structural models with different possibilities
Structures with no fulfilment obligation
With these types of structures, through the payment of an initial premium, you are then free to take advantage of better market rates, because the structures provide the right but no obligation. Here are some examples:
- CALL options.
- PUT options.
Structures with fulfilment obligation
Combinations of different structural options with a more competitive market price that do entail a fulfilment obligation.
- Forward plus
- Extendable forward
- EKOs
- AKOs
- Simple accumulator
- Leveraged accumulator

Useful information
-
You can find pre-contractual information about PRIIP investment products and key information documents at https://www.bankinter.com/banca/nav/documentos-datos-fundamentales.
In order to enter into foreign exchange transactions, customers must be assigned a risk rating and receive authorisation from Bankinter, as they are required to cover any potential shortfall arising from currency volatility in the market.
The customer must finalise all contracts prior to entering into them; in other words, before entering into a bespoke structure, the following documentation must be in force:
- - LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) questionnaire
- - MiFID
- - DERIVATIVES risk
- - MDX access agreement
In mandatory structures, there is uncertainty regarding at least part of the nominal amount that will ultimately be covered at maturity, depending on the barriers agreed at the outset.
Structures with the possibility of trigger events can only be settled at maturity.
