Bankinter offers new functions in Bizum to enable parents to make quick transfers to their children
It is based around the option of signing up for this service with more than one mobile phone number: only available to Bank customers.
Bankinter customers will be able to enjoy a new function in Bizum: an instant transfer service for individuals which the Bank offers its customers. From now on, they will be able to register with several phone numbers. This new option provides an easier and more convenient way for parents to make an immediate money transfer to their children, as long as the child is the holder of the account where the transfer is received and the parent appears as their parent or guardian.
Until now, customers who had contracted this service were registered with a single mobile number, which was linked to their bank account. From now on, they can use several numbers for their different accounts.
The owner of the mobile phones must always be the account holders, or parents/guardians or appear as authorised persons on the account.
Bankinter is the first financial institution offering the Bizum service to include this function.
This is not the only change the Bank has made in this regard. In addition, it has changed the interface to make it more user-friendly and simpler to navigate, and to enable the transfers made through Bizum to be shown even more clearly. In addition, it has added a new search engine that allows you to search for transfers more quickly, by filtering according to transaction, date or recipient.
Bizum is the leading technology solution for instant transfers between individuals in Spain. Bankinter has offered this service since 2016, together with most other institutions in the financial system. More than 149,000 users carried out over 1.3 million transactions at Bankinter, in 2019.
