Bankinter to give a 0.50% APY deposit to customers who transfer their investments

Bankinter intends to offer additional returns on invested assets of both individual and company customers.

The deposits, Traspaso 100 and Traspaso 50 , will be available to customers until 31 December.

Bankinter has decided to reward customers with a 12-month deposit yielding an APY of up to 0.50% if they bring their investment portfolios to the bank. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive offer with additional returns to both individual and company customers who transfer their investments to Bankinter.

Accordingly, customers who transfer their equities, bonds or investment funds (in this case, only individuals) may take advantage of yields on the Traspaso 100 and Traspaso 50 deposits. For Traspaso 100, customers would be required to transfer enough assets to cover the full amount of the deposit they intend to open in order to receive an APY of 0.50%. On the other hand, with Traspaso 50, they could open a deposit of as much as double the total asset amount they transfer and receive an APY of 0.30%. Customers have until 31 December to open these deposits.

Both savings products are available to current and new Bankinter customers, including individuals and companies. Once customers have transferred their equities, bonds or investment funds to Bankinter, they will have up to 30 days to open the new deposits. For these products, customers are required to invest a minimum amount of 10,000 euros and a maximum of 1,000,000 euros.

If customers transfer assets in investment funds, the related amount would have to remain with Bankinter until the deposit reaches maturity in order to have the corresponding APY rate included in this offer.

As of late September, Bankinter is the custodian of 4.2 billion euros in equities (not including collective investment fund assets and Bankinter shares). This amounts to a year-on-year growth rate of 17%. Furthermore, Bankinter has almost 15.7[STS1]  billion euros in managed and marketed investment fund assets, up 20.8[STS2] % from September 2015.

Bankinter offers a wide range of investment and savings products to cover the potential needs of all types of customer profiles, from conservative customers with a moderate appetite for equities to more dynamic customers willing to take on more sophisticated investments.
