Bankinter makes organisational changes in its management team

Enrique Tellado, Managing Director of EVO Banco, leaves his duties at the bank and his position will be filled by Eduardo Ozaita, until now Head of Commercial Retail Banking at Bankinter.

Gloria Ortiz, until now Head of Digital Banking, takes over the helm in the Commercial Retail Banking area, while her position passes to Marta Centeno, previously Head of Corporate Development, Markets and Products.

Bankinter has announced a series of changes affecting its organisational structure as well as the duties of certain members of the Bank's management committee and the composition of its areas.

Enrique Tellado, until now Managing Director of EVO Banco, will leave his duties as chief executive of this digital entity which merged with Bankinter Group in June 2019 as part of the acquisition agreement with the Apollo Investments fund. The position left vacant by his departure will be filled by Eduardo Ozaita, until now Head of Commercial Retail Banking at Bankinter, who will become the new Managing Director of EVO Banco.

Eduardo Ozaita has wide-ranging experience in the financial field and a proven track record of 32 years at Bankinter. His most recent responsibilities include heading up the Bank's operations in Andalusia between 2006 and 2010, running the Corporate Banking area between 2011 and 2017, and occupying the position of Head of Commercial Retail Banking since 2018.

Gloria Ortiz, until now Head of Digital Banking, will become the new Head of Commercial Retail Banking. Another professional with wide-ranging financial experience, at Bankinter Gloria Ortiz has previously occupied the positions of Head of Finance and Investor Relations (between 2009 and 2015) and Head of Digital Banking since 2016.

Lastly, responsibility for the Digital Banking area will now pass to Marta Centeno, until now Head of Corporate Development, Markets and Products, again with extensive experience at Bankinter. As well as this most recent position, which she has held since 2019, Marta Centeno has headed up the Bank's Madrid operations (in 2013) and the Private Banking area, a post to which she was appointed in 2015.
