Bankinter and Iberaval strengthen their partnership with the aim of promoting sustainable financing for businesses
Bankinter's new financial solution, the “CAE Advance Loan”, will provide immediate liquidity for energy saving and efficiency projects.
Iberaval is a leading mutual guarantee company (SGR) in Spain, with a strong presence in Castile and León, Madrid, Galicia, La Rioja, Castile-La Mancha and, more recently, Cantabria.
Bankinter and Iberaval SGR have signed a partnership agreement to intensify sustainable financing for businesses. by facilitating support for small- and medium-sized enterprises, under competitive conditions, in the execution of sustainability support projects.
Signed by Miguel Serrano, director of Bankinter's Northwest Territorial Organisation, and Pedro Pisonero Pérez, managing director of Iberaval, strengthens the commitment of both entities to the transition towards more efficient and responsible business models, facilitating operations linked to green and energy efficiency projects.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Bank will make available to small- and medium-sized enterprises a new financing product, the "CAE Advance Loan", intended to support projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies, sustainable mobility, the decarbonisation of processes, the promotion of the circular economy and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
The “CAE Advance Loan” is a Bankinter credit facility that advances the economic value of energy saving certificates (CAE), an official mechanism that certifies the energy savings achieved through specific actions. The product offers SMEs immediate liquidity to undertake sustainable projects, even before their certificate has been validated, therefore removing barriers to accessing financing. Businesses therefore have instant access to the liquidity they need to finance or refinance investments without having to wait for the validation and commercialisation of their certificates.
