Bankinter becomes the first Ibex 35 company to launch an AI agent to perform searches in its annual report

'MemorIA' allows shareholders, journalists, analysts and the general public to interact in natural language with the Bank's financial and corporate information and search for key data and milestones in the 2025 annual report.

It is one of the first agents the Bank has designed for non-customer external audiences.

Bankinter has taken a new step forward in the way it communicates its financial and corporate information by becoming the first listed company in Spain to incorporate an artificial intelligence agent applied to its annual report. The Bank has launched 'MemorIA', a public agent based on generative AI that allows shareholders, analysts, journalists and the general public to interact and search for key information about the Bank in its 2025 annual report, all conveyed in natural language.

The initiative places Bankinter at the forefront of the use of artificial intelligence applied to financial and corporate communication in Spain and Europe. The AI agent also facilitates access to key financial data, strategic projects and corporate milestones for the year, significantly reducing the time and effort required to locate relevant information.

The new agent is available on the Bank's corporate website and has been specifically designed for external audiences, rather than customers, an area in which Bankinter has already developed various services and functionalities with AI. This is one of the first AI agents that Bankinter has developed with this public reach, reinforcing its commitment to make corporate information more accessible, understandable and efficient.

'MemorIA' allows readers to perform searches in the 2025 annual report and obtain immediate results based exclusively on the official content of the document. Searches can range from financial data to staffing figures, as well as summaries of each country's milestones. Rather than generating new information, the agent acts as an intelligent guide that facilitates browsing of the annual report, guaranteeing accuracy, traceability and consistency in all responses.

The annual report, now conversational

The launch of the AI agent aims to support consultations of a key document for the market, especially relevant in the weeks leading up to Bankinter's annual general meeting on 26 March. Specifically, 'MemorIA' allows different stakeholders to quickly access the information they need, all while preserving the rigour and transparency of a mandatory publication.

The initiative represents a new development in the way the annual report is presented, transforming it into an interactive tool aligned with new information consumption habits and the growing use of artificial intelligence-based technologies in the corporate environment.

The launch is part of Bankinter's strategy to advance in an orderly and responsible manner in the implementation of generative AI in the Bank's everyday operations. The Entity has a specific governance model for this purpose, called “AI First”, which is directly led by the CEO, Gloria Ortiz, and aims to accelerate the utilisation of this technology to improve efficiency, optimise processes and reinforce the added value that the Bank offers to its customers and society in general.
