Reganosa acquires Saltos del Cinca from Plenium Partners and Bankinter Investment and enters the renewable energy generation sector
The sale includes three hydroelectric power plants in Aragon, with a combined installed capacity of 19 MW.
The Reganosa Group has reached an agreement with Plenium Partners, manager of the alternative investment vehicle Helia II, FCR and its partner Bankinter Investment SGEIC, to acquire 99.88% of the principal of Saltos del Cinca, S.A. The firm owns three hydroelectric power plants in Aragon and provides operational and maintenance services in the field of hydroelectric power. The deal marks Reganosa's entry into renewable generation with its own assets.
The portfolio includes the Arias I, Arias II and Ariéstolas power plants, which make up the Saltos del Cinca hydroelectric system located in the province of Huesca. Together, they represent nearly 19 MW of installed power, distributed almost homogeneously between the three facilities, and are supported by the power plants' own team of maintenance and operational personnel.
The deal reinforces Reganosa's diversification of its activity, strengthening its position in the energy transition and adding to its portfolio renewable assets that complement the projects it already undertakes in this field. Furthermore, the incorporation of hydroelectric generation will enable the group to add a renewable and competitive source to its energy consumption, improve its profitability, and expand its technical capabilities and the provision of services to third parties, both in the national and international markets.
