Bankinter's international corporate banking business reaches a record 11.1 billion euros in lending

The bank has doubled its lending figures over the last five years.

Bankinter consolidates its position as a leading player in the field of supply chain finance, with an 75% year-on-year increase in lending.

Bankinter closes another successful year in its international corporate banking business, supported by growth in lending and the dynamism of international financing, with a particular boost from the “supply chain finance” service, operations covered by ECAs and financing operations with international financial institutions.

This business, which drives the international activity of the bank's corporate customers, reached a loan portfolio of more than 11.1 billion euros at the end of 2025, 12% more than in 2024, a record figure in the bank's history.

In five years, Bankinter has managed to double the figures for the loan portfolio of its international corporate banking business.

Bankinter continues to consolidate its position as a leading player in the field of supply chain finance, with an 75% year-on-year increase in lending. This financing model seeks to improve the working capital of both large corporations and SMEs, and is an area in which Bankinter has been a leading player for seven years now.

Similarly, ECA-backed lending recorded strong growth of 93%. This activity includes not only tailored financing to support exports, but also investment-related financing. Finally, co-financing activity with International Financial Institutions continued to strengthen the entity's international portfolio.

As a result, the total international business revenue, which include the gross operating income, reached 395 million euros.

Throughout the year, Banca Internacional has strengthened its international positioning by executing numerous financing operations with some of the world's leading financial institutions, especially in the Persian Gulf, Western Europe, Asia-Pacific and various countries in the Americas. The priority areas the bank has focussed on include the automotive, technology, food and drink, capital goods and services, energy, commodities and telecoms sectors.
