Bankinter launches Met@, a new online savings solution

A highly practical and intuitive online savings promotion and management system which the Bank makes available to its customers on its commercial website.

Met@ is an innovative solution for attracting and retaining customer deposits in a way that is different, incorporating 'emotive' savings concepts.

Bankinter has launched a new dynamic savings management service on its commercial website, the purpose of which is to help customers achieve the specific objectives that they set themselves.

This new solution, launched under the trade name Met@ (meta being Spanish for 'objective'), is available exclusively to customers of the Bank via bankinter.com.

With this innovative platform, customers will be able to manage their savings in a more pleasant and emotive way. Its design incorporates graphics, interactive features and online communication.

Met@ allows customers to choose among three types of savings, and to associate a picture and a name to any one of them for the objective being pursued in each case. These three savings objectives are:

'A mi aire'('my way'): deposits and withdrawals can be made at any time; associated with a current account subject to certain operating restrictions.'A mi aire' offers complete flexibility as regards objectives and accumulated savings, allowing users to modify their objectives and withdraw funds once they have attained them (or at any time before that), or alternatively to assign them to a new objective.

'Paso a paso' ('step by step'): periodic additions for customers wishing to save little by little.

'A un solo paso' ('just one step away'): for cases where the customer already has the money and wishes to keep it for a future outlay. It takes the form of a standard deposit.

As for conditions and returns, the 'A mi aire' account will be non-remunerated but will not be subject to any kind of fees or commissions; 'Paso a Paso' and 'A un solo paso' deposits will accrue interest at personalised rates according to the term, the initial deposit amount and the level of periodic additions made by the customer.
