Bankinter launches the new Bankinter Premium Long Term Fixed Income fund for conservative investors
- Created by Bankinter Gestión de Activos, the new option enables to the Bank to strengthen its range of Premium profiled funds.
- The success of Premium Fixed Income has prompted the Bank's asset management branch to offer an alternative with a slightly longer investment horizon.
Bankinter completes its offering of Premium profiled funds with the new Bankinter “Premium” Long Term Fixed Income fund. The new product, designed and managed by Bankinter Gestión de Activos, is intended for different types of investors, but always with a conservative profile.
For example, the Bank will make it available to investors who want to extend the term of their investments in fixed income, i.e. those mainly made up of debt securities issued on the market by corporates (private debt) and governments (public debt). However, it is also available for investors willing to take on a higher duration risk on their investment, and for those who want to start shifting positions from money market and short-term fixed income funds to medium/long-term fixed income.
In addition, it will also be an option for those looking for investments linked to ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria since the fund follows the parameters set out in Article 8 of European Regulation 2019/2088.
The Bankinter Premium Fixed Income fund, which was launched approximately a year ago and is more focused on the short/medium term, has enjoyed successful take-up by the Bank's customers and now this alternative has emerged with a longer investment horizon of more than three years.
The new product aims to offer investors the opportunity to take positions in the face of a change in the interest rate cycle, at a time when long-term yields are once again higher than short-term yields.
This fund will invest in a wide range of public and private fixed income assets, with flexibility in currencies, sectors and credit qualities. Actively managed, its strategy seeks to maximise opportunities in international fixed income markets, mainly in OECD countries, with a broader focus on Europe. Up to 10% of the portfolio's exposure may be in emerging markets.
Bankinter's Premium range now includes seven funds adapted to different investor profiles: fixed income, long term fixed income, defensive, conservative, moderate, dynamic and aggressive.
