Bankinter Investment and Plenium Partners sell to Galp 351 MW of wind assets from the alternative investment vehicles Helia II, III and IV

The operation completes the divestment by the Bankinter subsidiary and Plenium Partners of two of their Helia Renovables funds: Helia II and III.

The transferred portfolio consists of 17 wind energy assets with a proven track record of robust performance.

Bankinter Investment and Plenium Partners, which recently approved the integration of their asset management companies and have been partners since 2017, have agreed to sell to Galp a portfolio of 351 MW of operational wind assets located in Spain and originating from the alternative investment vehicles Helia II, Helia III and Helia IV.

The operation completes the divestment by Bankinter Investment and Plenium Partners of two Helia funds: Helia II and III. It also includes the sale of the only remaining wind farm in the Helia IV fund, which now holds only photovoltaic assets in Spain and Italy.

The portfolio acquired by Galp consists of 17 wind farms located in high-generation areas, with an average commissioning date of 2009.

With an enterprise value of over 400 million euros, the operation is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2026.

Plenium Partners and Bankinter Investment, now a single leading alternative investment platform following their recent integration (subject to confirmation by the relevant regulatory authorities), have forged a solid reputation in sustainable assets in Europe. The integration—which culminates a successful alliance initiated in 2017—unifies their teams, management structures and investment capacity under a single entity, strengthening their ability to lead direct investments in alternative assets in Europe and accelerate their continental expansion. This step brings together a robust multidisciplinary team and a diversified portfolio of 14 billion euros in assets under management, more than 15,000 investors and a high level of diversification across 11 sectors and 14 countries. The new platform secures the partners' status as key players in real asset investment in Europe.
