Bankinter raises the interest rate on its Digital Account from 1.50% to 2.50% for new customers, with no limit on the interest-bearing amount
The offer will be valid only until 28 February.
This digital product is not subject to a maximum amount deposited.
There are no salary and direct debit requirements, and no maintenance fees.
Bankinter launches a new interest offer for its Digital Account of up to 2.50% AER, well above the current rate of 1.50% for this account. The promotion is available to new customers of the Bank, but for a limited time only, as it expires on 28 February. It can be opened digitally, through the website and app.
The Digital Account differs from other accounts insofar as there is no maximum interest-bearing amount, which means that new customers will be paid interest on the total amount they deposit in the account.
There are three tranches: 2% AER on balances below 25,000 euros, 2.25% AER on balances 25,000 and 50,000 euros, and 2.50% AER on balances of more than 50,000 euros.
In addition to no maximum amount, this interest-bearing account differs from other accounts in that customers do not have to deposit a salary or set up any direct debits. Unlike fixed-term deposits, the account has full liquidity from the outset, so withdrawals do not entail a loss or decrease in the interest rate applied. Plus, interest is settled monthly.
Added to these features, the Digital Account is a current account with no maintenance fee, and it comes with a debit card that has no issuance or maintenance fees. It also offers customers free cash withdrawals from more than 17,000 ATMs in Spain, thanks to the agreements signed by Bankinter with various financial institutions.
Leverage for new customer acquisition.
Since its launch less than two years ago in March 2023, the Digital Account has proven to be a key element for attracting new customers, complementing Bankinter's offering of interest-bearing accounts.
