Bankinter is expanding the advantages of its Broker Cero service with commission-free trading on international markets every Friday throughout the summer

Broker Cero customers will be able to buy and sell on international markets commission-free every Friday between 31 July and 28 August.

The initiative reinforces Bankinter’s value proposition for customers investing in international markets.

Bankinter continues to strengthen its investment offering with a new benefit for customers who trade on the stock market via its Broker Cero service. Between 31 July and 28 August, customers subscribed to this service will be able to buy and sell on international markets commission-free every Friday.

This initiative is aligned with the bank’s strategy of continually enhancing the investment solutions it offers to its customers, facilitating access to different markets and tailoring its value proposition to the needs of investors looking to diversify their portfolios beyond the domestic market.

Bankinter is thus enhancing the advantages associated with Broker Cero, a service designed to offer a more efficient and competitive investment experience. The exemption from commissions for trading on international markets during Fridays in the promotional period will allow customers to access the top international stock exchanges on more favourable terms, thus enabling greater flexibility in the management of their investments.

Investors trading on Fridays during this period will save the 0.20% commission for transactions on amounts equal to or greater than 40,000 euros, 40,000 US dollars, 425,000 Swedish kronor or 30,000 pounds sterling. They will also be exempt from the 20-euro fee for transactions below these amounts.

International trading has established itself in recent years as an increasingly relevant alternative for retail investors, driven by a desire to diversify geographical risks and capitalise on growth opportunities in companies and sectors operating in different markets. In this context, reducing the costs associated with investing is a factor particularly valued by those who trade regularly in the financial markets.

This new advantage complements the terms already offered by Broker Cero, which include commission-free trading on the domestic market and the possibility of earning income should their shares be borrowed – an advantage that, until 2023, was enjoyed only by institutional investors, and in which Bankinter remains a pioneer in Spain. In this way, the Bank continues to evolve its value proposition to respond to trends shaping retail investment and the growing interest in the internationalisation of portfolios.

With initiatives such as this, Bankinter reaffirms its commitment to continuing to develop solutions that facilitate access to investment and help to offer customers an increasingly comprehensive range of services, tailored to different investment profiles and needs.

Broker Cero, a distinctive service.

Bankinter launched Broker Cero in March 2023, a distinctive service within the banking sector’s investment offering, which allows customers to trade Spanish shares without any buying or selling costs and also offers the possibility of earning additional income through securities lending. Customers retain full access to their securities at all times and can trade them without limitations, whether or not they are on loan.
