Credit recovers the path to growth

After a 2023 decline in investments, last year Bankinter resumed the path to growth in credit facilities for medium-sized enterprises, increasing the portfolio by 363 million euros, 4.5% when compared to the previous year.

The target gross operating income was achieved, hitting the 363 million euros mark, mainly thanks to the strong increase in fees, which reached 107 million euros, growing by 10.2% over 2023, which offsets part of the impairment in the net interest margin resulting from the fall in interest rates.

By the end of 2024, total resources reached 8.5 billion euros (+7.4%), thanks to the improved performance of intermediation balances (+4.3%) and customer deposits (+7.6%), along with controlled cost increases (+1.04%).
