Ten years of a successful business model
The activity celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2024, with a very successful commercial distribution model, reaching an average Loan portfolio balance of 10 billion euros, and representing a notable increase of 14.1% compared to the figures at the close of 2023. The gross operating income rose to 446 million euros (+10.40%), a figure accounting for 29% of the gross operating income of the Corporate & SME Banking area.
In the course of the financial year, there was significant growth in the number of international simple payments and collections brokered (+7.4%), the key driver of our fee income, which amounted to 117 million euros (+5%). In the area of special operations, the growth experienced in the export financing business with official support deserves special mention, with a 69% increase in the financing balance with coverage by export credit agencies (ECAs).
The International Banking area continues to focus on improving the working capital of our customers with the Supply Chain Finance tool, including the first version of International Factoring features in the tool, while upgrading and improving the application every day to manage more and more businesses, whether in euros or any other convertible currency.
