Bankinter presents in Malaga its 2016 Tour with the most ambitious musical of musicals in the Spanish scene
The show, which is played today at Teatro Cervantes, will travel to another eight Spanish cities before the summer.
Bankinter creates for its customers the most original performance by combining the most successful Broadway musicals and with Daniel Diges as the master of ceremonies.
Bankinter premieres its annual traditional tour at Malaga's Teatro Cervantes today, offering in this edition the most ambitious musical of musicals performed on any stage in Spain. This show will travel to another eight Spanish and two Portuguese cities over the months of May and June.
Besides Murcia, where the Tour kicked off on May 16, the musical will be performed in Madrid twice (May 23 and June 27, Teatro Lope de Vega). It will also travel to Vigo (May 26, Mar de Vigo Auditorium); Badajoz (May 30, Palacio de Congresos); Palma de Mallorca (June 1, Auditorium); Las Palmas (June 7, Alfredo Kraus Auditorium); Bilbao (June 13, Palacio Euskalduna) and Zaragoza (June 22, Auditorium). The Bankinter Tour will come to a close with a last performance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona on June 29. In addition, it will be played in Lisbon and Porto.
Bankinter has created, exclusively for its customers, the most original of Tours by gathering in one show the best and most successful Broadway musicals. The customers of Private, Personal and Enterprise Banking have been exclusively invited to this musical.
From “Les Misérables” to “Chicago”
To stage this complete play, Bankinter has enjoyed the collaboration of Stage Entertainment, which is the producer that has brought to Spain the most successful musicals of all time. The Bank has chosen one of the most representative Spanish voices in the world of musicals to direct the show, Daniel Diges. He has starred in some of the most renowned musicals in Spain in recent years, such as “Hoy no me puedo levantar”, the musical produced by Queen “We will rock you”, “Mamma mia!”, “Les Misérables”, “The Beauty and the Beast” or “High School Musical”. A few months ago, Diges launched his latest record “Calle Broadway”, which is inspired in the major musicals.
In this musical of musicals the spectator will enjoy a magical journey through the most famous Broadway songs, interpreted by a cast of musical performers. In essence, this creation intends to portray the best of “Les Misérables”, “The Beauty and the Beast”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Cabaret”, “Chicago”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Man of la Mancha”, “Mamma Mia!”, “The Lion King” and “Saturday Night Fever”.
By means of this cultural initiative, Bankinter hopes to improve the satisfaction and entailment of its customers, through a project that is both innovative and different and involves a great dose of creative talent, in line with the institution's own values.
With this, Bankinter has now organised - consecutively - seven musical tours for its customers. In previous years, these tours starred, among other artists, the flamenco singer Estrella Morente; the orchestra conductor Inma Shara, accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra; ‘Los Chicos del Coro’; and the flamenco dancer Sara Baras.
