Bankinter launches Bankinter Healthy, a new initiative to promote healthy habits among its employees

The new plan is part of the 'Bankinter, here to help' well-being programme, with which the entity wants to encourage healthy practices in all bank employees.

Bankinter Healthy is developed through a new global application developed by United Heroes.

Bankinter has made Bankinter Healthy available to all its employees in Spain, Portugal and Luxembourg, which is a global app intended to promote physical and emotional well-being and improve staff health through certain challenges and activities.

With Bankinter Healthy, the entity is taking a step forward in the digitisation process of the bank's wellness programme, called 'Bankinter, here to help', complementing it with a new global application developed for the entity by United Heroes.

Bankinter Healthy is a platform that seeks to promote teamwork through collective challenges that promote physical activity and emotional well-being. It also has a chat that allows social interaction between employees, who can share their activity, advice, photos, etc.

The United Heroes application also has individual challenges to encourage users to include physical activity in their daily lives and incorporate healthy habits in an easy and fun way. The tool also has a library with content on well-being in all its aspects, specialised online webinars and sessions (training, meditation, mindfulness, etc.).

Bankinter Healthy is an inclusive programme in which the practice of the activities carried out by users adds points to the employee's own scoreboard, in healthy competition with those of the rest of the people who have signed up to the application. In total there are more than 60 different types of activities, covering both physical and emotional activity, from a simple walk, to DIY activities, gardening, volunteering, and any type of sport, yoga, meditation or mindfulness, so that each user can find their own space.

The new initiative is having a magnificent reception among bank employees, with more than 1,400 registered users, which is 25% of Bankinter's workforce in Spain, Portugal and Luxembourg. During the first 15 days of May, 25,000 activities have been registered and a total of 120,000 kilomeres have been travelled.

Bankinter Healthy is part of the 'Bankinter, here to help' programme, an innovative, digital and fully inclusive wellness programme, where everyone in the bank can find their own space.

"Bankinter, here to help" was launched in February 2019 and is structured around four pillars, which are the four main dimensions of well-being: physical activity, nutrition, emotional balance and health. Each of them provides comprehensive wellness solutions through different content, tools and expert advice.
