Bankinter brings its 2015 Tour to a close in the Liceu of Barcelona with an exclusive performance by Estrella Morente

More than 16,000 spectators have attended the ten performances by the artist from Granada in 9 other Spanish cities.

In the year of its 50th anniversary, Bankinter offers an exceptional tour starring one of the female voices of flamenco.

Bankinter brings its already traditional artistic tour to a close in the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, which in this edition will involve Estrella Morente. This Thursday's event in the Catalan capital will be the finale of the tour of concerts held in some ten Spanish cities throughout May and June, on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the company since its foundation as a bank.

In total, more than 16,000 spectators have attended the concerts held as part of this tour in Valladolid (12 May, Teatro Calderón), Ciudad Real (14 May, Teatro Quijano), Seville (15 May, Teatro de la Maestranza), Palma de Mallorca (19 May, Auditórium), San Sebastian (21 May, Auditorio Kursaal), Madrid (25 May, Teatro Real), Alicante (26 May, Auditorio Diputación), Zaragoza (28 May, Auditorio) and Tenerife (1 June, Auditorio Adán Martín).

Together with a cast of artists.

Estrella Morente will be accompanied in her performance by a cast of top-class artists, such as Soledad Giménez of Presuntos Implicados, whom Morente has defined as a leader in her artistic field: "She is the voice of pop par excellence of this country, important but simple". In addition there will be Antonio Carmona of Ketama, Antonio Bartina, tango singer, or Enrique Morente, the artist's brother. With Soledad Giménez she will interpret the classic "Cómo hemos cambiado", one of the most iconic tunes of the group Presuntos Implicados. She will also perform the tango "Volver" with Bartina, as she already did for the soundtrack of the film by Almodóvar. In addition, she will sing the popular Ketama song "No estamos locos" with Antonio Carmona. The spectacle will kick off with "Mañana de carnaval", a Brazilian classic that links with the latest work that the singer from Granada has tackled. A group of musicians and a choir from La Palma will accompany this performance.

Bankinter has chosen this great artist for her brilliant combination of the traditional and the modern, her talent and her quest for self-improvement. All of them, values that Bankinter pursues with great impetus.

To talk about Estrella Morente is to talk about the success of a woman in flamenco singing. To dive into the biography of Estrella is to undertake a beautiful exercise of inspiration that takes us on a voyage to Granada where she was born, surrounded by relatives who were flamenco singers, dancers and guitarists. This warm and flamenco-infused atmosphere left its mark on her profoundly and from there on she developed her passion and talent for the flamenco singing style of "cante jondo".

With this musical and cultural initiative, Bankinter hopes to improve the satisfaction and entailment of its customers, through a project that is both innovative and different and involves a great dose of creative talent, in line with the company's own values.

With this, Bankinter has now organised - consecutively - six musical tours for its customers. In previous years, these tours starred, among others artists, the orchestra conductor Inma Shara, accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra; 'Los Chicos del Coro'; and the flamenco dancer Sara Baras.
