Bankinter was the biggest riser in the Merco Personas 2014 rankings, a tool which measures corporate reputation and identifies the most attractive companies to work for in Spain according to criteria such as working environment, a strong employer brand, and the internal reputation of the companies analysed.

The bank rose 29 positions compared to last year, and came in 24th out of the 100 companies analysed.

As regards the ranking by sector, Bankinter is the only company from the banking sector to have gone up in the rankings (by 2 positions), rising to 4th place, among the 8 financial companies included in the study.

According to María Paramés, People and Corporate Communication Manager at Bankinter, "the results we have obtained are the fruit of our striving for excellence, our focus on meritocracy, and our commitment to equal opportunities which define people management at Bankinter. These are values which mean we now have a committed, diverse, and talented workforce, who play a fundamental role in the positive results obtained by the bank in the past few years. At Bankinter we are convinced that a company's biggest asset is the people who make up its workforce".

To carry out the study, Merco surveyed employees of Spanish companies, university students, business school students, HR managers, headhunters, and the general public.

Merco Personas is a benchmark monitoring tool which is published worldwide, and in which Bankinter has been included since its start in 2006.
