Bankinter Asset Management strengthens its Board with New Appointments

José Manuel García de Sola will be the new non-executive chairman of the management company and chairman of its Control Committee.

A new member is being added to the Board and the Vice-secretary is taking on the role of Secretary.

Bankinter Asset Management strengthens its Board with the appointment of José Manuel García de Sola as the non-executive chairman of Bankinter Asset Management, taking over for Ricardo Egea. García de Sola has broad experience in the financial sector and a career that has focused on Private Banking and asset management, which will notably increase the visibility of the Management Company, its professionalisation and its orientation towards the client.

García de Sola will also take on the role of chairman of the Control Committee, the main function of which is to supervise the risk policy of the Management Company and ensure fulfilment of all the regulations that affect Management Companies.

A new member is joining the Management Company's Board: Gloria Hernández García, director of Bankinter's Capital Market Division, and leaving the Board are Javier Bollaín and Luis Alfredo Jiménez.

For her part, Ana Isabel Casuso, Vice-secretary of the Bankinter's Asset Management Board, will take on the role of Secretary of the Board in place of Mónica López-Monís, who will stay on as a member.

Bankinter Asset Management manages more than 10.6 billion in investment funds, pensions and SICAVs. This figure represents a 12% increase in the first 5 months of the year, and a 66% increase over the last 17 months.

Moreover, the managing company has more than 1.1 billion euros in portfolios managed for clients of varying profiles and equity invested in all kinds of assets worldwide.
