Bankinter and Fundación Integra come together to promote social and labour market inclusion

The bank and the not-for-profit organisation have signed an agreement to spearhead social and responsible employment initiatives.

Bankinter and Fundación Integra have entered into their first partnership agreement to support social inclusion and employability for the disabled and other people at risk of exclusion. It was signed by María Paramés, the bank’s managing director of personnel, corporate communication and quality, and Fundación Integra director, Ana Muñoz de Dios.

‘We are proud to support Fundación Integra, which plays a key role in further integrating disadvantaged groups of individuals. It is important to work together, especially at a time when many people are seeing their financial situation worsen,’ said María Paramés after signing the agreement.

Ana Muñoz de Dios thanked Bankinter for its commitment to aiding those most vulnerable and pointed out that ‘with their time and experience, the valued volunteers from Bankinter will help those we serve acquire new practical skills and be more confident and motivated to face the challenge of finding employment.’

Through this partnership, Bankinter will become part of Compromiso Integra, a network of 44 companies and entities committed to socially responsible employment, which Fundación Integra promotes.

Bankinter and Fundación Integra will also develop training initiatives to enhance the financial literacy of these at-risk groups, through which some Bankinter employees already volunteer as instructors at Fundación Integra’s ‘Strengthening Training’ programme. Their objective is to teach participants in these sessions about basic financial concepts they can use to be more self-reliant in finance and banking.

One of Bankinter’s main priorities is its unwavering and steadfast commitment to integrating people in need in society and the labour market. To this end, Bankinter is promoting several social initiatives through a concerted effort with top social organisations.

Fundación Integra is a foundation dedicated to helping integrate socially excluded individuals and the disabled into the workplace to give them a chance at a new life through employment. So far, the foundation has arranged over 9,300 job placements for people in vulnerable circumstances.
