Atrium, the Portuguese investment company from Bankinter Investment and Sonae Sierra, begins trading in Portugal

From now on, investors can purchase shares in this company, the secondi of its kind to be created in the Portuguese market.

ATRIUM BIRE, SIGI, S.A. (ATRIUM), Sociedad de Inversión y Gestión Inmobiliaria (SIGI, a type of company similar to Spain's 'Socimi' – real estate investment companies) launched by Bankinter Investment and Sierra in the middle of last year, announces that the shares representing its share capital have been listed today on the Euronext Access multilateral trading system, managed by Euronext Lisbon.


The listing of Atrium's share capital on Euronext Access provides the investing public with an alternative investment vehicle.


Currently, 66.25% of SIGI's capital is held by a wide range of investors, both from Portugal and Spain, while the remaining capital is held by Bankinter, Sierra (both SIGI and asset managers) and Kostas Holding Unipessoal, Lda. holding 10%, 3.75% and 20%, respectively. As a result of listing on Euronext Access, any investor will now be able to acquire Atrium shares on the Euronext Access market.


For private investors, acquiring shares in Atrium is an opportunity to invest indirectly in an emblematic real estate asset in the city of Lisbon – the so-called Atrium Saldanha – by taking advantage of a diversified portfolio of contracts with first-class tenants. It is a mixed-use building that combines offices, retail spaces, and car parks, with a gross leasable area of 31,000 m² and a high occupancy rate.


Atrium is the second SIGI created in Portugal.
