The strategic plan for Retail Banking was consolidated in 2022, prioritising advice and personalised customer service, with a focus on wealth management.
At 31 December, the area had 815,000 active customers, an increase of 5% over the previous year, mainly thanks to the salary account and mortgages. More specifically, 98,277 customers were acquired, 53,567 salary accounts and 14,506 new mortgages were opened for a total volume of 2.7 billion euro.
Also notable were the figures obtained in personal loans, with 824 million in new lendings for the year. That means an increase of 51% compared to 2021 and double the results obtained in 2020.
The net worth of Retail Banking customers reached 41.36 billion euro at the end of the year, with growth of 4.1% compared to the previous year. The portfolio of investment and pension funds closed 2022 at 9.295 billion euro. The Bank has continued to launch new products and services under the umbrella of Bankinter in Family, which remains a strategic project in managing customers' personal and family finances
