The 'You First' programme has been used for several years to ensure that news about items such as dividend payments, quarterly results or significant event notices about the Bank published with the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) reach Bankinter shareholders before they are seen by anybody else.
This programme is one of the main responsibilities of the Shareholders' Office, which is also responsible for dealing with proposals and requests for clarification on the current or historical share price, as well as reporting on dividend amounts and payments, preparing the corresponding content for the Corporate Report and assisting with the arrangements for the annual general meeting.
The office also performs two other essential tasks: generating internal information for managers and supervisors about shareholder composition and ensuring adherence to the Code of Conduct for the Securities Market, which the Bank's employees must observe with regard to Bankinter's actions.
With regard to trading and reporting processes, the Bank operates in full harmony with the rest of the European markets, following the implementation in Spain of the reform of the securities clearing, settlement and registry system.
On 23 March 2022, the annual general meeting was held in mixed format, combining assistance in person and online. The quorum for participation was 75.8%, in line with previous years and with the average for Ibex 35 companies. As usual, all items on the agenda were approved by a large majority.
With health conditions back to normal, the meeting went ahead without any major incident.
