Interest rate increases have had very negative effects on the financial markets, for both fixed income and equities. Despite this, the assets of Bankinter Asset Management's investment funds grew by 4%, to 10.8 billion euro, due to the commercial activity of profiled funds and short- and medium-term fixed income.
Most Bankinter funds outperformed their competitors. The area as a whole generated revenue of 109 million euros in 2022, with pre-tax profit of 52 million euros.
During the year, the fund management company launched new short- and medium-term fixed income products, taking advantage of the new interest rates. New discretionary portfolios for Private Banking customers and a new range of profiled pension funds have also been made available.
