2022 was another record year in customer acquisition. As in 2021, key partners were brought on board (15 new agreements signed), allowing the area to continue to grow and contribute very positively to the income statement.
Thanks in large part to this, Partner Banking's gross income and lending continued the growth trend of previous years, with increases of 12% and 6%, respectively. The +7% increase in the mortgage portfolio of Retail Banking is particularly relevant, given the difficult market situation and an economic environment full of uncertainty.
Partner Banking's institutional business, which includes business generated with entities regulated by the CNMV, also confirmed the upward trend of recent years, with growth in the main indicators of the income statement and balance sheet. The gross operating income grew by 13%; investment by 8%, and resources by 16%.
