Bankinter signs the merger of EVO Banco and its Irish subsidiary to create a single name across all the countries in which it operates
The deed of merger by absorption of EVO Banco S.A.U. by Bankinter S.A. has been presented today to the Madrid Companies Registry, although the name EVO will continue to be used as a further trade name of Bankinter until the technological integration process is complete (due to take place in July).
With the merger complete, Bankinter has taken over EVO’s contracts with its customers, although they will continue to use EVO’s products and services as they have been doing so far until the technological integration process takes place.
The Group’s Irish subsidiary, Avant Money, is also merging with Bankinter and will start operating in Ireland in early April under the legal form of a branch.
The transformation of Avant Money into a bank will mark its effective entry into the deposit business in the latter half of this year.
Bankinter and Moeve have teamed up to launch the 'Moeve gow' Mastercard, offering the biggest fuel savings on the market.
'Club Moeve gow' customers who pay with the new card will save 15 cents per litre on fuel and 7 cents per kWh on electric charging.
Bankinter's chair highlights the strength of the Bank's business and shareholder base and its ability to continue growing independently.
At the annual general meeting, María Dolores Dancausa expressed pride in the Bank's consistent dividend policy, based on a 50% payout that will result in a dividend payment of 476 million euros this year.
The President of Bankinter highlighted the succession process carried out by the bank in 2024, which was carried out with due anticipation, complete transparency and in an exemplary manner “.”
Chief executive officer Gloria Ortiz expressed her conviction that the Bank would be able to repeat the success story of 2024 this year and “break through the glass ceiling of 1,000 million euros in net profit, which was unattainable a few years ago”.

Bankinter and Liberty Seguros enter into a new bancassurance partnership
The two entities will promote innovation and market automobile and homeowners' insurance through all Bankinter channels and networks in Spain and Portugal, including EVO Banco.
The insurance company's innovation capacity and international footprint in Bankinter's markets were key factors behind the agreement.
Liberty will own 50.01% of the new company and Bankinter the remaining 49.99%.
