Through the 'You First' programme, the bank's shareholders are the first to hear about things such as dividend payments, quarterly results and significant event notices about the bank published with the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
In addition to managing this programme, the Shareholders' Office is responsible for dealing with proposals and requests for clarification on the current or historical share price, the amounts and dates of dividend payments, preparing the content in this area for preparation of the corporate report and assisting with the arrangements for the annual general meeting.
The Office performs two other core tasks: generating internal information for managers and supervisors about shareholder composition and ensuring adherence to the Code of Conduct for the Securities Market, which the Bank's employees must observe with regard to Bankinter's actions.
With regard to trading and reporting processes, Bankinter operates in full harmony with the rest of the European markets, following the implementation in Spain of the reform of the securities clearing, settlement and registry system.
On 23 March 2023, the annual general meeting was held in mixed format, combining attendance in person and online. The quorum for participation was 73.5%, in line with previous years and with the average for Ibex 35 companies. There were no noteworthy incidents at the Annual General Meeting, which approved all of the items on the agenda with large majorities.
