At 31 December 2023, 43% of the Bank's shares were held by non-residents and institutional investors. This percentage is slightly lower than in previous years.
Investor Relations actively collaborates with the Sustainability area to communicate the Bank's metrics and strategies in relation to environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria. The aim is to provide a consistent and consistently increasing flow of information to our stakeholders.
In recognition of its good sustainability management, the Bank was included in both the European and global versions of the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the sixth consecutive year in 2023. Bankinter also appears as one of the most sustainable companies in Spain and in the financial sector on a global scale in various sustainability rankings, reports and indices prepared by specialised agencies and proxy advisors (firms that advise institutional investors on the management of voting at shareholders' meetings).
