The Bankinter Innovation Foundation increased its activity in 2025 to promote the transformation of society through innovation, knowledge and talent, establishing itself as a platform of reference to anticipate future challenges and turn them into initiatives with a business, social and scientific impact, strengthening the connection between science and the market.
To achieve this, the Board of Trustees, made up of highly respected professionals, provides a pluralistic and independent vision that guarantees the robustness of the Foundation's operating model and its alignment with the main economic, technological and social challenges. In 2025, Álvaro Pascual-Leone joined the Board, strengthening the link between strategic thinking and the governance of the Foundation.

Future Trends Forum
In 2025, the activity focused on the analysis of technologies that have gone from being long-term projections to strategic priorities, through two forums on fusion energy and semiconductors, the publication of three benchmark reports on megatrends and the organisation of thirteen webinars of high interest and public value.

Akademia Future Builders
In 2025, Akademia established itself as a leading scholarship programme in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship for high-potential university talent, with strong growth in applications and places, as well as an alumni community that exceeded 2,570 people. The programme reinforced its value proposition with excellent training and the creation of Explora+, a training block focused on future trends that promotes employability, networking and the impact of innovative talent.

Startups
In 2025, the Bankinter Innovation Foundation increased its support for innovative entrepreneurship throughout the entire growth cycle of startups. The various initiatives developed have the common goal of contributing to a more solid, connected ecosystem aimed at creating a real economic impact.
Startup Observatory
This is the main tool for understanding the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem. The 2025 analysis showed investment of +3,000 million euros. The number of operations increased to 376 (+11%), with large rounds having a greater weight.
Scaleup Spain Network: supporting growth
In collaboration with Wayra and Endeavour, the programme completed its fifth edition in 2025 and started its sixth, with 12 startups included in each one. Since its launch, it has promoted 74 high-potential companies, with over 1,200 million euros in funding and creating a high level of employment.
Open Innovation Meetings: from innovation to business
The first meeting took place in 2025. Focused on the logistics sector, it brought together 10 large companies and 11 startups. It is considered a strategic initiative in the Startups programme.º
Entrepreneurial community and outreach
The Coffee with Entrepreneurs programme is becoming a benchmark space for sharing experiences and learning. A total of 7 meetings were held with top-level speakers and a high level of engagement.
InspiraTech
A benchmark programme in innovation training for young scientists whose objective is to improve the transfer of knowledge between the academic and business sectors to create a social and economic impact. The second edition of InspiraTech reinforced its focus on applied research, supporting 20 researchers in their early stages of their work on science or technology-based deeptech projects.

CRE100DO FOUNDATION
The Bankinter Innovation Foundation, as an ex officio trustee, supports the activities of the CRE100DO Foundation, which, in 2025, focused on supporting the growth and competitiveness of middle market companies, centred on facilitating their leap to the middle market. In this context, the TRAS100DE programme was launched, aimed at CEOs of companies with a turnover of between 20 and 50 million euros, with a practical focus on strategy, talent, financing, governance, digitalisation and innovation. In parallel, the Foundation strengthened its community with the addition of 11 new companies, building a reference network for the Spanish middle market, which includes companies that stand out for their capacity for innovation, their international perspective and impact on the real economy.
