The CFO's role today, and in the future, needs to cover other functions in addition to traditional ones.
For me, the two main ones are: the first is to help the CEO to design and implement the company's strategy, and the other is to control business risks.
This, in my opinion, is due to the fact that the environments companies operate in are becoming more and more uncertain and changing, and this means business models that are currently successful may become obsolete in a very short space of time.
Therefore, the finance area must help predict and anticipate these changes to help the CEO and the board of directors to modify the strategy, and thereby maintain the company's competitive advantages and ensure that companies continue to be profitable.
