For new and existing individual customers who live in Spain, who have not held a Youth Salary account at Bankinter in the 12 months before opening this new account and who have not previously benefited from this remuneration. In addition, in the case of the Youth Salary Account, customers must have their salary paid into the account for a minimum amount of €500 per month. To take advantage of this promotion, the customer may not be the holder of more than two of the following accounts: Salary/Youth Salary Account, Pension Account, Business Account and Non-Salary Account.
The maximum interest-bearing balance is €6,000. Year 1: nominal annual interest rate of 4.94% (5% AER). Year 2: nominal annual interest rate of 1.99% (2% AER). Interest paid every six months. Example for a daily balance of €6,000 in a salary account, calculated for an interest payment period of 180 days (gross remuneration): 1st six months €146.17, 2nd six months €146.17, 3rd six months €58.88, 4th six months €58.88.

Show/Hide legal text2 “Invite a friend” campaign: Promotion valid until 31 May 2021 with a limit of five new customers with an active Salary account (minimum income of €800) or an active Bk Salary account (minimum income of €500) per existing customer, and a maximum of 1,000 new customers in total. This campaign is intended for individuals who live in Spain and have not already benefited from this remuneration. New customers have three months from opening the Salary account or Bk Salary account to make their first deposit, which must be at least the amount declared as their income (cash deposits are not acceptable for this purpose). The Salary account or Bk Salary account must remain active for the following 12 months. Payment of the €50 to the friend and the existing customer will be made the day after the account is activated. The recipient will be required to pay the relevant taxes on the bonus payment as well as any tax withholding or payment on account that Bankinter may be legally required to make. Bonuses qualify as a monetary yield subject to tax withholding and payment on account. As monetary income, the withholding tax base will be calculated by increasing the acquisition value or cost for Bankinter by 20%. Bankinter will carry out the withholding and payment on account in line with the applicable law at the time. If the terms and conditions agreed in this commercial campaign are not met and both the existing customer who extends the invitation and the new customer therefore have to “return” all or part of the sums already settled, their account will be debited for the gross amount they received. All of the above is without prejudice to any specific tax law and regulations in effect in Navarre and the Basque Country. Accounts opened by new customers as a result of this promotion will be understood to be located at the same branch where the existing Bankinter customer holds their current account. For the Pension Account, you do not have to activate the linked credit card. For the Non-Salary account, you must pay at least 10 direct debits per quarter and spend at least €3,000 per year with the card(s) linked to the account.
