Bankinter successfully places 500 million euros in covered bonds
These 10-year bonds were fully subscribed in less than two hours.
Bankinter has successfully placed 500 million euros in 10-year covered bonds, with a spread of 18 basis points over midswap This translates into a yield of 1.25%, below the price initially indicated.
The bonds’ issue and settlement date is set for 7 February of this year, and their redemption date is 7 February 2028. The issue saw a demand worth over 1.6 billion euros, three times more than the offered amount. The bonds were placed between over 100 institutional investors, 84% of which are from overseas.
The placement banks in this transaction were Bankinter Securities, S.V., S.A., Deutsche Bank, Santander, HSBC and SG CIB.
