Bankinter launches its 2017 Tour for customers headlined by Raphael

The artist will perform eleven shows for a select group of Bankinter customers in ten cities in Spain, with the best hits of its 55-year career.

The tour gets under way today in Albacete and will make its way to the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and the Teatro Real in Madrid.

Bankinter is presenting its annual tour, privately organised for its customers. This year, it has the honour of putting it on with an exceptional headliner: Raphael, a living legend of the music world who, for decades, has reasserted his title as an undisputed cultural reference in Spain. The ruiseñor de Linares (‘songbird from Linares’) will put on an unprecedented show for a select group of Bankinter customers.

Audience members will have the chance to hear his greatest hits as well as songs from his new album, Infinitos Bailes. On this occasion, Raphael will be accompanied by a band, breaking from the usual orchestral set-up of his performances in recent years.

Raphael will kick off this 2017 tour at the Teatro Circo in Albacete. This edition will include eleven private concerts organised by Bankinter in ten cities across Spain between today and 3 July.

The tour will pass through the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona on 23 May, followed by the Teatro Real in Madrid on 30 May. It will then go on to stop in Tenerife (5 June), Santander (8 June), Zaragoza (12 June), Burgos (14 June), Seville (19 June) and Valencia (21 June). On 29 June, the tour will return to Madrid, after which it will come to an end in Majorca on 3 July.

Alongside this private tour, Raphael will continue to travel throughout Spain promoting Infinitos Bailes as part of his Loco por cantar tour.

With this initiative, Bankinter has sought to put on a special tour with a unique, original and unforgettable performance, to which only customers from its personal banking, private banking and corporate banking areas have been invited.

Furthermore, Bankinter is also launching a sweepstake today on its social network profiles for a limited number of tickets for some of the concerts on this 2017 tour, in keeping with the initiative in previous years.

A once-in-a-lifetime event

To launch this event (which represents a before and after in the history of this tour), Bankinter has sought to use a stage design fitting for the main act that will make for a remarkable experience for audiences. Concert-goers will feel transported on a musical journey showcasing some of the artist's greatest hits in the last fifty years, designed especially for this tour.

Some of the songs with which Raphael will regale audience members with his usual artistic passion include Mi gran noche (‘My Big Night’), Digan lo que digan (‘Whatever they say’) and Estuve enamorado (‘I was in love’).

This cultural initiative is part of Bankinter’s commitment to increasing the satisfaction and engagement of its customers with an innovative and different project with large doses of creative talent, in line with its values.

This will be the eighth tour Bankinter has put on for its customers. In previous years, these tours featured such artists as flamenco singer, Estrella Morente; orchestra conductor, Shara, accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra; Los Chicos del Coro; and the flamenco dancer, Sara Baras. Last year, the tour did a Broadway-inspired showcase of the greatest musicals performed on the Spanish stage, with Daniel Diges as its master of ceremonies.
