Bankinter encourages employees to volunteer through the new portal, ‘Mueve.te’, with the Hazloposible foundation

Bankinter aims to get more employees involved in solidarity causes with a new microsite, on which new technical, social and environmental volunteering initiatives will be organised

Bankinter wishes to increase volunteering among employees. To this end, it has set up the portal, ‘Mueve.te’, in a collaborative effort with the foundation, Hazloposible. With this microsite, Bankinter hopes to get its more than 4,500 employees in Spain involved in solidarity causes, alongside various social and environmental organisations.

The Mueve.te portal will centralise and organise volunteering opportunities and inform employees about them on a regular basis to encourage them to take part. The idea is for this internal microsite to be the virtual meeting point for those volunteering for the various initiatives that will be carried out, including financial education and student-oriented entrepreneurship programmes, inclusive sport tournaments with individuals with disabilities, as well as environmental activities.

The portal will be launched as part of Bankinter’s sustainability plan called Tres en raya (‘Three in a row’) for responsible management with an economic, social and environmental focus.

Thanks to support from the Hazloposible foundation, with this new platform, Bankinter not only will have a tool for managing and announcing volunteer initiatives; but it will also join the Red de Empresas Talento que Impacta (‘Impactful Talent Companies Network’) network, alongside 24 other major Spanish companies. This network will allow Bankinter to share its experiences, knowledge and good practices and learn about useful international trends to further develop volunteering programmes for its employees.
