Bankinter Board of Directors Appoints María Teresa Pulido as New Director

The Bankinter Board of Directors, at the behest of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, has today appointed María Teresa Pulido Mendoza as the bank's new independent adviser.

With this appointment, the Bankinter Board of Directors now has ten members, five of whom are external independent advisers, two executive officers, another two external trustees, and one an external adviser.

Graduating with honours in Economics from Columbia University, and with an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, María Teresa Pulido Mendoza has over twenty years of experience in strategic consulting (McKinsey & Co) as well as private banking and corporate banking (Citi and Deutsche Bank)She has worked mainly on business development, restructuring and change management projects for these companies. Since April 2011 she has been the Manager of Corporate Strategy for Ferrovial.

The appointment of María Teresa Pulido will make a positive contribution to the bank's Board of Directors, given her knowledge and broad-ranging international experience in areas that are of special importance to the bank, such as private banking, corporate banking and investment banking.
