Bankinter Asset Management strengthens its Board with New Appointments
José Manuel García de Sola will be the new non-executive chairman of the management company and chairman of its Control Committee.
A new member is being added to the Board and the Vice-secretary is taking on the role of Secretary.

The payment, attributable to the 2021 financial year and to be paid entirely in cash, will be in addition to the payment made last October, with which the bank resumed its customary shareholder remuneration policy.

- Pedro Guerrero Guerrero will end his term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bankinter, per his own request, on 21 March 2024, after a brilliant career of 17 years at the helm of the Board.
- The Board will nominate the bank's current CEO, María Dolores Dancausa Treviño, as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, and current Head of Commercial Banking, Gloria Ortiz Portero, as Chief Executive Officer.
Jaime Botín, the historic chairman and founder of Bankinter, passes away
- He became Managing Director of Bankinter in 1965 and was Chief Executive Officer from 1977 to 1986, before serving as Chairman from 1986 to March 2002. He was the bank's the largest shareholder, through the holding company Cartival.
- He was the main architect of Bankinter's innovative and independent character, and the driving force behind its development and transformation into one of the country's leading banks.
