Bankinter removes the fee for trades in international markets with its Halloween "Broker 0" promotion

  • The Bank will offer its "Broker 0" customers the opportunity to carry out free trades in any international market on 31 October, with no limit on the amount.
  • "Broker 0" is a new service from Bankinter that allows customers to trade in the Spanish market at zero cost when they make the securities in their portfolio available to the bank for securities lending.

To celebrate Halloween, Bankinter is launching a promotional offer whereby customers of its "Broker 0" service will not pay any fees for securities trades made in international markets on 31 October.

Customers who have subscribed to the "Broker 0" service will be able to trade in the main international markets, including the Nasdaq, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the XETRA, saving the usual cost applied by the Bank for transactions of this type: 20 euros for trades up to 40,000 euros or US dollars and 0.20% for trades above that amount.

The promotion will only be valid for orders executed on 31 October and will apply to online trades via computer or app of shares listed in all these markets, with no limit on the amount. It does not include ETFs.

Launched by the Bank in 2023, “Broker 0” is a new service that allows customers to trade in the Spanish at zero cost, on condition that they make the securities in their portfolio available to the Bank for a securities lending service, with the Bank sharing with customers the profit obtained from that service.

Currently, more than 15,000 customers have subscribed to Bankinter's "Broker 0" service and therefore trade at zero cost in the Spanish market, and 5,000 of those customers are also receiving interest on the use of the securities they have loaned.

Bankinter Broker, the Bank's pioneering stock market trading service, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and retains its position as leader of the Spanish retail equity market.
