Payment method for the Duo Credit card
The Duo Credit card has two sides, each of which has a different payment method. The “End of month” side is issued with the end-of-month payment option, and the “Pay in 4 side” is issued with the deferred Pay in 4 instalments option. The payment methods associated with each card cannot be changed.
- End of month payment method
With this payment method, purchases and withdrawals made before the end of the settlement period must be paid, without interest (0.00% APR), on the date stated in your card contract.
- Pay in 4
This enables payment of the entire statement balance in four (4) instalments, provided the sum of the purchases (including cash transfers to your account using the Smart Cash service) is €120.00 or more.
The agreed interest rate is applied to the principal drawn down. See "Annual nominal interest rate".
The part of the monthly instalment used to repay the principal replenishes the customer's credit limit, so it is basically like a loan that is renewed on each settlement.
If the spending is less than €120.00, this will be settled at the end of the month just as with the “End of month” side, with no interest (0.00% APR).
Issuance and maintenance fee
The maintenance fee for the “End of month” card is €35 per year for the main cardholder and €25 for each additional card. No issuance fees.
No maintenance fee will be charged for the “End of month” card if it is associated with a Salary Account, Pension Account, Non-salary Account, Business Account, Youth Salary Account or Tú y Yo Account. This fee will also not be charged if, at least once in the year immediately preceding its accrual, the holder has deferred or split the repayment of any amounts spent using the “End of month” card or the “Pay in 4” card using the pay in 4 instalments method.
The “Pay in 4” card has no issuance or maintenance fees.
Drawdown limit (at a generic level, depending the amount assigned to each customer)
- For purchases, the limit for the “End of month” side and the “Pay in 4”side is a maximum of €6,000 per day and per month depending on the available limit on the card.
- For withdrawals on credit, the limit for the “End of month” side is €1,000 per day and up to €6,000 per month, depending on the available limit on the card.
- For debit withdrawals of cash from ATMs, the limit for the “end of month” side is €1,000 per day and up to €18,000 per month, if there are sufficient funds in the linked current account.
